When feeding lhasa apso we must know special thing about Tibetan breeds. They musn't get to much meat in their food, so it is very good to feed them with less then half of meat on a meal (if we cook) or we choose readly food that contains less proteins. We musn't forget on the fats, that all (espec. long coated breeds) need.

Grooming lhasa apsos coat is very important and it starts with puppy. They must be used of grooming every day. Later, when the dog has a long coat, grooming is not easy if he is not used to it. Coat of adoult lhasa need regulary brushing with brush of natural bristles, and not only on top, but by the layers to skin. We must remove all the dead coat, so it not gets meaded. The comb (rare) is used only at the end of brushing, for chek, if there are any maded places. Sometimes is good to give them a bath with good dog or baby shampoo. While giving him a bath, the coat musn't be rubbed - it would be maded in second. Lhasa apso can be interesting long coated family dog, but it can also be a show dog - for those, who don't mind carring his long coat in perfect condition.
